Q: What does “health and wellness” mean?
A: It’s a broad term, but we like this definition from the World Health Organization: “Wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life…a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” It is continually working towards the balance of mind and body.
Q: How do you both teach health and wellness?
A: Tess is a certified holistic health coach and loves teaching about non-traditional nutrition (no calorie counting), staying active doing the things you love, and the importance of primary foods. Contact Tess for a free health history.
Trevor is an avid yogi who enjoys helping others find their zen through its practice. He’s also a big gardener, and could eat an entire bushel of home-grown tomatoes.
Both of us strongly believe in using nature as our biggest teaching tool, taking advantage of the thousands of hikes, kayak and canoe trips, runs, bike rides, and other adventures Maine has to offer.
Q: Why did you want to start Rosewood?
A: Life today is fast-paced, frantic, and stressful. Is it hard to find balance between work, family, and commitments? Are you choosing the right foods to help you meet your goals? These are common questions people struggle with, and it’s our passion to help you answer them.
